Program |
|
|
Aboard a fishing vessel, the tour starts from Cochamo (a little village near to Puerto Montt) throughout a great
scenery of snowtopped mountains, volcano and bays.
In the water we can see sealions and dolphins. On our way down the Fjord Reloncaví,
which reaches about 80 km into the mainland, we pass salmon farms and
mussel seed collectors.
After a 2 hours journey, we reach Punta Lobos, the loberia (sealion
colony), where we can observe and listen to the shoutings of the sealions.
After having taken some pictures of sealions, we will head to the Marimeli island and continue to Don Juans house, where "curanto" a typical chilean dish will be
prepared for lunch.
The tour continous to the termas (hot springs) which can only be
reached by boat. If you like you can try the warm water for a nice bath.
The visiting time of the hot springs can slighty change, due to the tide.
During the tour you can fish and see how the local fisherman catch
fish and mussels.
If there is time for a walk, we can either have a visit to a lonely lake
and to a small church which you only reach by boat.
The tour will end after another boat hour in Cochamó and you head back
to Puerto Varas or to the Riverside Lodge.
